Local produce, healthy soil and simply delicious flavours. On Saturday 19 September, the focus is on the soil. At Boer & Markt in Bovenkarspel, you’ll discover all the produce that comes from local soil.
From 10.00 to 16.00, you can stroll through the farmers’ market at De Streekhof shopping centre. Discover local produce and short supply chains. Sample what the region has to offer and watch demonstrations. For children, there’s a treasure hunt focusing on agriculture and horticulture.
Make your own butter and cheesePrefer to get stuck in? Then head to Hoeve De Meeuw in Schellinkhout. A farm education session for adults starts there at 4.00 pm.
You’ll be given a guided tour and learn all about healthy soil and healthy food. Afterwards, you’ll get to try your hand at making butter and cheese. You’ll also be given a bottle of fresh milk to take home. It doesn’t get much fresher than that.
