With your head in the wind and homegrown stories. Step aboard for a historic boat trip through Westfriesland. You sail past cheese-cover farmhouses, old waterways and characteristic villages.
Along the way, you will hear stories about farming families, water management and life on the land. Raw, honest and straight from the region.
The highlight? The Overhaal. An ancient system that pulls boats across the quay. Strong stuff, that West Frisian craftsmanship.
The tour starts at Molen Ceres in Bovenkarspel. And that's immediately a nice place to look around earlier. On Wednesdays, the mill and brasserie Bij de Molen are also open.
