Storm boats, military vehicles and secret messages. During this historical weekend, the field opposite the museum is transformed into a military encampment. Watch demonstrations, meet re-enactors and get stuck in yourself. Here, history isn’t just something behind glass.

What to expect.
On the field, re-enactors, army trucks and historical equipment are all ready and waiting. You’ll see smoke machines, a field kitchen and a Leroy compression vehicle in action. Children can sail in storm boats, make their own dog tags and decipher Morse code messages. Afterwards, the mine detection field or the obstacle course awaits. So there’s plenty of action. And in between, you’ll hear the stories behind the equipment.

Set aside a good part of the day for the military camp and museum visit. The outdoor area is designed to resemble a military camp, with demonstrations and activities. Tickets are available online in advance and at the ticket office over the weekend. After your ticket has been checked, you will be given an admission wristband.
You can grab a bite to eat or a drink in the museum café. Information on dietary options, parking, dogs and accessibility is not included in the press release. Please check this information on the website in advance.
