A themed morning dedicated to the Beatles: a talk about their only Dutch performance in Blokker, featuring live acoustic music!

How is it that The Beatles – arguably the most famous and influential band in the world – ended up in the West Frisian market gardening village of Blokker?
On 6 June 1964, The Beatles gave two legendary concerts in the ‘Op Hoop van Zegen’ auction hall, where fruit and vegetables are normally traded. For one day, Blokker made global headlines.
After that, The Beatles never performed in the Netherlands again.
The Wonder of Blokker
During the talk, given by Piet Karsten, the documentary ‘The Beatles & the Miracle of Blokker’ will be screened, featuring unique audio and film footage, including interviews with visitors and support acts.
This documentary was produced by NH journalists Tom Jurriaans and Michiel Baas in collaboration with Beatles expert Gert Elzinga.
