Borrel Express Steam Tram

22 August, 5 September

More information & tickets

Evening drinks on the ‘Borrel Expres’ Steam rolling along the tracks, a drink in your hand and Westfriesland passing by the window.

This summer, the Museum Steam Tram will once again be running the Borrel Express. You’ll travel from Hoorn to Medemblik and back, whilst the sun slowly sets behind the landscape. Meadows, villages and old stations glide past. And in the meantime, the drinks party gets well and truly underway.

Before departure, you can have a look around the charming Hoorn Tram Station. Here you’ll discover more about the steam trams and their history. Then the departure signal sounds and the journey through time along the historic railway line begins.

You’ll be served a variety of snacks during the journey. These are included in the price of the ride. Drinks can be ordered on board. And, of course, the special Bello Beer will be chilled and ready to go. A robust beer for a journey with character.

The Borrel Express departs from Hoorn at 7.00 pm. The tram rolls back into the station at around 10.00 pm. So there’s plenty of time to catch up, raise a glass and enjoy the view.

A summer’s evening out, but under steam. All aboard!
