Brick City at Hoorn Station

until 30 December

Millions of bricks. One city. And you can help build it.

At Station Hoorn , you’ll find a city that’s still very much a work in progress. Not with concrete and bricks, but with millions of LEGO bricks.

A miniature city full of life

Brick City has everything a real city has. Roads, pavements, offices and shops. Trains run through the countryside and boats sail across the water.

Have a good look around, because there’s always something going on. What’s more, the city is constantly growing. Visitors are welcome to add their own structures to the bigger picture. Perhaps you’ll build a famous landmark from Hoorn – the Hoofdtoren, a new station or something completely of your own invention. As long as the bricks fit.

Hands out of your pockets

Just looking? That’s not the way they do things here. In the former station restaurant, tables laden with building blocks await. Pull up a chair, match your colours and build something sturdy.

You can spend hours…

You can spend hours building, trying things out and starting again. Leaning tower? Just have another go. That’s all part of the fun.

Brick City is great fun for young builders, experienced bricklayers and adults who are supposedly just tagging along with the children.
