The Westfriese Omringdijk is a 126 km long dike, created by linking several short dikes in the West Friesland region. The Omringdijk runs through the towns of Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Alkmaar, Schagen, Medemblik and again Enkhuizen. The various parts of the dike have been designated as provincial monuments by the province of North Holland and surround the historical region of Westfriesland.

The Westfriese Omringdijk is a Regional Path that runs around historic West Friesland, from Hoorn, past Alkmaar, Schagen, Medemblik, Enkhuizen and then back to Hoorn. Streekpad Westfriese Omringdijk is cut into 8 day walks and marked yellow-red in both directions.
