A walk can be short, but you can also spend half a day there. The area has ample parking facilities. Dogs are allowed off the lead in some areas, and there is a dog swimming area near the Weelenpad. Please follow the signs and consult the site map. A fishing spot is accessible to people with reduced mobility. For food and drink, head to IJgenweis in the Streekbos Pavilion. It’s best to check dietary options in advance with the catering staff themselves.

Take the path towards the water. That’s where the Streekbos feels most like Westfriesland: reeds, wind and open space.
