What can you expect? You’ll arrive at the charming Oostereiland, right in the heart of Hoorn historic harbour. Inside this listed building, you’ll find three modern cinemas with comfortable seats and excellent picture and sound quality. Before or after the film, you can enjoy a drink in the Filmcafé or take a short stroll along the waterfront to enjoy the view of the harbour. The combination of history, film and atmosphere makes every visit just that little bit different.

Our tip for your visit: Make a night of it – choose a film, arrive a little early for a drink and a bite to eat in the cinema café, and stick around for a while afterwards. The view of the water really tops it off.

When can you visit? Cinema Oostereiland is open seven days a week. On Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, you’re welcome from 12.30 pm to 11.00 pm. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, you can visit from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm.
