De Appelhoek is situated on the Westfriese Omringdijk, right by the Markermeer. You can stay at the campsite, in an apartment or a holiday cottage. Surrounded by cows, water and the dyke. Just good land, with a view to boot.

For families, couples, cyclists and those seeking peace and quiet. Also suitable for groups, as the flats in the farmhouse can be used together. Children can watch the action on the farm and walk straight into the barn.
When will you visit here?
In spring, when the fields come back to life with colour. Or in summer, when you walk straight towards the water from the dyke. It’s also a great place to be outside the peak season, if you’re mainly looking for peace and quiet.
What to expect.
You can hear cows, birds and the wind blowing across the dyke. Behind the dyke lies the Markermeer, with a small beach in a quiet bay. On the farm grounds there are camping pitches, flats and a holiday cottage. The farm operates organically – no artificial fertilisers, no chemical pesticides. So, good old-fashioned, down-to-earth farming.

You’ll usually stay here for one or more nights. The campsite has 22 pitches, spread across three small fields. There’s good Wi-Fi. Dogs are welcome at the campsite and in the Appelhuisje. Parking is available on site.
Our tip for your visit
Take a walk up the dyke in the evening. You’ll see the Markermeer recede in silence.
