The Uiterdijk is situated outside the dykes on the shores of the Markermeer. A stretch of grassland, a small sandy beach and plenty of open space. You can go swimming, fishing, surfing or simply sit there with a book. That counts too.

For cyclists, swimmers, anglers and surfers. Also suitable for novice kitesurfers, thanks to the gently sloping seabed. Birdwatchers will also be in their element here: behind the dyke lies a nature reserve for waterbirds and meadow birds.

Parking is available in the vicinity of the site. On the site itself, there is a Tourist Transfer Point with cycling and walking routes, details of local eateries and leisure information.
