At De Groote Wijzend, you’ll sleep by the polder waters. The safari tents are situated on a flower nursery in Lutjebroek, with their own little jetty right outside the door. Cast off in your little boat, cast your line, or simply sit and watch the world go by. Either way is fine.

For families, groups of friends and anglers who love being outdoors. Also handy for groups: you can hire the campsite as a whole. That way, you’ll have the place to yourselves, with no neighbours next to your tent.
When will you visit here?
In the summer months, when the water recedes and the days are long. But thanks to the glass canopy over the tents, you can still sleep comfortably outside the summer months too.
What to expect.
You’ll sleep in a fully equipped safari tent with a bathroom, kitchen and fixed beds. The water lies right in front of your tent. You’ll hear birds, paddles and, occasionally, a boat in the distance. You can use canoes and small boats. You can also hire motorboats, complete with a route map for the polder canals.

You’ll usually stay here for one or more nights. The campsite is situated in a peaceful spot on the Wijzend in Lutjebroek, right by fishing and boating waters. Parking is free. There is Wi-Fi, a playground and sunbathing area, table tennis, a pool table and bike hire. Please contact us in advance regarding these facilities. Life jackets are available for children who cannot swim.

Hire a motorboat and take a spin through the polder ditches. That way, you’ll see Lutjebroek at its best: close to the water.
