Who is this a good site for?

For cyclists, hikers, camping guests and families. Also good if you are travelling between Hoorn, Berkhout and the Markermeer. You come here for food without the hassle.

When will you visit here?

Stop by after a walk through De Hulk. Or while cycling through the West Frisian countryside. From spring, De Overkant will be open again, with extended hours during holidays and public holidays.

What to expect.

You step inside an eatery near the campsite. Outside, the terrace is ready. Inside, you smell coffee, chips, pizza and hot lunch dishes. You can linger, take something away or just grab a drink after your route. Not complicated. Just what you need after wind up.

Practical information

Count on a cup of coffee, lunch, drinks or meal. The setting is low-key, with a terrace and ample parking. There are also charging points for e-bikes. Dogs are not allowed in the eatery. The eatery is wheelchair accessible. You can eat, drink and take away. In busy times, take-out may take longer, so please call in advance.

When are you welcome?

From Saturday 28 March, The Overkant will be open. Until 1 May, you can visit Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. From 29 April, during school holidays and public holidays, opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
