Klimpark Streekbos

Come and have a go at climbing

At Klimpark Streekbos, you can climb amongst the trees of Het Streekbos – across wobbly bridges, nets and zip lines. With your feet off the ground and your wits about you. Prefer to stay on the ground? Then try the mini-golf course or another outdoor activity.

Who is this a good site for?

For children, families, groups of friends and teams who don’t want to sit still. You come here for an active outdoor outing. Climbing is permitted from a height of 1.20 metres under supervision. From 1.35 metres, you can tackle the course on your own. A bit of nerve helps. So does being in good physical shape.

When will you visit here?

Come along on a free afternoon, at the weekend or during the school holidays. Especially if you’ve got energy to spare. Or if the kids are climbing the walls at home. Then a treetop adventure suddenly seems like a brilliant idea.

What to expect.

You’ll start with a briefing, a helmet and a climbing harness. After that, you choose your own route. You can start low, at three metres. Or climb higher, right up to the treetops. You’ll hear leaves rustling, carabiners clicking and, every now and then, someone laughing a little louder than planned. The zip lines do the rest.

Practical information

Allow about two hours for the climbing. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing that allows you to move easily. It’s best to leave flip-flops, sandals and loose scarves at home. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead. The climbing park is situated in the Het Streekbos recreation area, which has ample parking. The area also features cafés and restaurants, walking trails, swimming spots and a dog swimming area. There is no clear information on the website regarding accessibility for visitors with disabilities. Please get in touch in advance to find out more, so you know what to expect.

Our tip for your visit

Don’t start with the highest course straight away. Try a lower route first. That way, you’ll get a feel for how it works. After that, you can still show off at height.
